On Saturday, October 22nd, at Casino du Liban Sandy Tabet, was crowned by the former beauty queen Valerie Abou Chacra as Miss Lebanon 2016.
Our current beauty queen defeated 13 other beautiful contestants, but only her was selected by a jury of nine Lebanese personalities including the international fashion designer, Zuhair Murad and actress Adriana Karembeu.
And the runners-up of this year’s Miss Lebanon competition included Maribelle Tarabay and Andrea Haykal.
But not all the attention has been positive. Throughout the contest, Tabet was not considered a crowd favorite. Many took to social media to criticize her claiming others were more qualified.
Well, honestly, I didn’t like Sandy at first. I preferred Andrea or Maribelle to be crowned the new Miss Lebanon. But after following her more on all social media, her personality and image appeared more clearly to me.
During the competition, all girls were wearing different custom gowns designed by my all time favorite Zuhair Murad.
And at the end of the night, Sandy was crowned with a Yessayan diamonds tiara.
Sandy Tabet is now representing our beloved country Lebanon at the Miss World 2016 competition in Washington DC. She’s one of the top 25 contestants.
So please, vote for her by downloading the Miss World app available on both IOS and Android so she can keep her name on the list.
